Green Star SA Accredited Professional Course

The Green Star SA Accredited Professional Course is the core educational offering of the Green Building Council of South Africa. It provides a comprehensive overview of sustainability and green building. Participants go through the Green Star SA rating system for buildings, which is a tool for the objective measurement of the environmental performance of design and construction phases of new buildings and major refurbishments.

This course provides insight into all major aspects of green building design and offers practical examples of applying Green Star SA tools to building projects. It emphasises the necessity of an integrated approach from the consulting team in order to achieve the rating pursued.

In order to obtain this professional designation, industry professionals complete the Green Star SA Accredited Professional course and pass an examination run through a third-party testing agency.

Participants are awarded 1.0 CPD point in category 1 with CESA and SAIA.
