Energy Management Fundamentals

This entry-level energy management course explains the fundamentals of electrical energy and energy efficiency. It highlights the principles and drivers of energy consumption, equipping participants with the skills to evaluate energy systems within a contextual and comparative framework. As a result, opportunities and spaces for energy saving can be identified and addressed.

The content of this course applies the scientific concepts of electricity and energy to conventional processes and businesses, and allows the participant to relate and understand the electrical properties of various systems. At the completion of this course, the participant will have a firm grounding of the principles and drivers influencing energy consumption. This will allow him/her to observe energy systems in a contextual and comparative light; to evaluate elemental energy systems and identify possible energy saving opportunities; and to continue with further energy management training.
